It is a real privilege to serve as President of WTSA, one of the most vibrant organizations in medicine and a leading voice in Cardiothoracic Surgery. I have seen firsthand how influential the WTSA has been in the advancement of meaningful clinical care.
Strategic Planning Retreat
The Western will be conducting a Strategic Planning Retreat in January in conjunction with the STS Annual Meeting in Los Angeles. The primary goal of this Strategic Planning session will be to identify key objectives and develop strategic initiatives that will allow the WTSA to fulfill its mission. In preparation for this important Strategic Planning meeting, the Western be sending a member needs assessment survey to all of its members in November; you are encouraged to take a few minutes to provide your feedback as this will lay the groundwork for the future of the Western Thoracic Surgical Association.
The 38th Annual Meeting of the Western Thoracic Surgical Association was held at the Grand Wailea on Maui, Hawaii, June 27-30, 2012.
